Nestled beneath Stoupe Brow with Yorkshire's 'Jurassic coast' below, the cottage sits on an ancient track. We are literally surrounded by history, myth & legend. The perfect base to sit & take in the view, or to put on your boots & explore.
The Cottage is full of charm & character, boasting a sympathetic mix of old & new. Offering stunning sea views along the Heritage Coast across to Robin Hood’s Bay, this delightful cottage is set in an idyllic location. Visit the nearby National Trust Visitor Centre for information on the numerous local & national walks & cycle routes terminating, beginning & passing by our area. Take a trip to iconic Whitby or Victorian Scarborough, both just a short drive away. Then retreat to this Captains stone built cottage, which maintains many original features including exposed beams & stonework. The cosy lounge offers the perfect place to relax after a long day exploring, the large allocated garden offers a delightful place to unwind with a good book. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at a bar with a view, or wake up in a master bedroom looking onto the coast. Walk out through French doors to your private patio and breathe. The cottage also has the added benefit of a beautiful summer house with a spacious decking area. All with stunning sea views. GROUND FLOOR:
Entrance: Step back in time to our dining room.
Dining Room: For more formal dining entertain and relax in the glow of our wood burning stove set in an ancient fireplace. Dining table bench & chairs, wall mounted TV & access to the first floor. 2 steps leading up to kitchen.
Kitchen: Breakfast with a view at the bar. Fridge. Freezer. Induction hob. Electric oven & grill, integrated microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, double Belfast sink. Steep semi-open staircase leading to single bedroom.
Lounge: Spectacular coastal views, comfy corner sofa and smart TV for those indoor days. Walk out of the French doors to a large patio and breathe in the vista.
Bedroom 1: Lay in our Luxury King sized bed and watch the tides. With bedside tables, lamps an arch window to the coats & French doors to your private patio. It's the perfect Room with a view. 4 steps up to Dining room.
Ensuite: High specification Burlington rainfall shower over roll top bath, large sink, WC. Towel rail, cosy underfloor heating for those cooler days.
FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom 2: Floor of old ship planks the sea views stone mullion windows speak of older days.2 single beds with pull out storage basket, hanging space and bedside tables.
Ensuite: Shower cubicle, toilet, washbasin.
Bedroom 3: Loft room/snug. Single bed, feature hanging rail, bedside drawers, rope effect lamp.
Pets: One dog welcome.
Parking: Private off-street parking for two cars.
Patio/Garden:Two patio areas with seating, (exclusive to 1 Browcote Cottage). Large summer house with adjacent large decking area. Unbridled sea views. Gardens are large but not fully enclosed.
Paddock: Large shared paddock. Unbridled views.
Heating: Biomass heating. Wood burning stove.
Short breaks: Not accepted at peak times.
Notes: Towels provided. No Smoking/Vaping. WiFi. Mobile phone signal is good. The duvets are feather filled but ther is a hypoallergenic options.
